On Friday May 6th Evergreen Adult Day Center had their Mother’s Day Celebration. During this day the women came wearing beautiful saaris. They were treated to gifts that included a nail kit, a candle, and a card. Participants were invited to share their words and childhood memories of their mothers with everyone. They also sang songs about mothers. All these thoughts and feelings brought about heavy emotions in people. It was a beautiful experience of sharing and expression of the heart. For lunch, Indian Chaat was served. Following lunch, everyone participated in a friendly game of spot the difference. Everyone enjoyed their day and it was a lovely time to show appreciation to all the moms in our lives.
