Auspicious & Awesome Occasions in October

Writer: Evergreen ADHC TeamEvergreen ADHC Team

October month started with the festival of Navratri and at the Center we celebrated everyday with a round of Garba on catchy tunes. On the 10th day of the festival (October 8th), we had the traditional "Jalebi Ghantia" for breakfast. The nostalgic feeling is beyond explanation.

We had an outing to Encore Boston and what a fun trip this was. Few folks enjoyed playing at the slot machines while most of the folks just enjoyed cheering them or checking the beauty and decor in the Casino. With the kind of fun we had, there will be more trip to Encore for sure.

Then can with a Big Bang the Festival of Lights - Diwali. The Center was completely lit up along with displays of Rangoli and other decorations. The spirit of Diwali was visible on everyone's face. We also had trips to various Temples and got to see "Ankut" at the Swaminaryan Temple.

The amount of festivities and celebration in October was beyond any other month and we ended the month by wishing everyone Happy Halloween.

Thank you for stopping by.
