Makar Sankranti

Makar Sankranti is one of the most auspicious festivals in India. This is also regarded as the beginning of an auspicious phase that marks the end of the winter season and the commencement of new harvest seasons.

On Friday, January 13, Evergreen Adult Day Center had a Makar Sankranti Celebration. During this day, participants shared their words regarding how they celebrate this festival in their region of India. They also sang songs, and everyone participated in a fun game of bean bag toss.
